TWO brothers are hosting a charity football match on Sunday for their terminally ill father and to raise funds for a brain tumour charity.
Grant and Daniel Mills have organised and will also participate in the charity match at Thurrock Football Stadium in Ship Lane, Aveley.
Both brothers will captain the two teams which are being made up of family and friends – there will be a total of 34 players including substitutes.
Daniel Mills said: “This event is inspired by my dad, John Mills who was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour on the 7th November 2013 and was given 6 months to 1 year to live.
“Brain Tumour research has such little funding given the number of deaths it causes, but together we could help change the dreadful prognosis.”
Kick off will be at 2pm. Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and under 12s gain entry for free.
Money raised will be donated to The John Mills Fund - The Brain Tumour Charity.
