THE Senior Citizens Organisation of Thurrock (Scoot), played host to a special guest.

The group welcomed the mayor Steve Liddiard, who congratulated the officers and committee for their enthusiasm.

A spokesman for the group said: “We were entertained by the Encore Harmony Group.

“They are eight male singers who were excellent, singing many songs in close harmony.

“The entertainment was followed by ballroom, sequence and line dancing.”

The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm at Tilbury Community Centre.
