QUEUES on the M25, stretching beyond J29 for Romford and the A127, are causing traffic chaos in West Thurrock.
Delays of up to 50 minutes are being reported on the M25 approaching the QEII Bridge.
The roads around Lakeside Shopping Centre and the retail parks are gridlocked as traffic queues to join and exit the orbital road.
Tweets from Ensignbus are advising that many of its routes are experiencing severe delays.
Heavy traffic is being reported on the B186 both ways at A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock and B146 Burghley Road (Pilgrims Roundabout). All approaches to Lakeside shopping centre are busy.
Delays are also being reported on the A13 between the Dock Road approach and M25.
No incidents have been reported. It is thought that the sheer volume of traffic is causing the M25 queues.
