VOLUNTEERS took part in the Age UK Big Knit project, in which hats are knitted for smoothie bottles, raising money for the charity when they are sold.
Numerous hats were made at the “knit and natter” group on Thursdays. Annette Lewis, volunteer co-ordinator for the Chadwell St Mary Centre, where the group meets, said: “With more projects planned for the coming months, we would like to see lots of people coming along to join the group.
“Everyone is welcome. Meanwhile, a big thank you to everyone who took part in the Big Knit project.”
