POLICE are appealing for information after robbers grabbed a woman from behind and stole her handbag.

The victim, who is aged in her 40s, was at the bus stop in Crammavill Street, Grays, near the junction with Whitmore Avenue, at about 8.15pm on Saturday, March 21.

She was approached from behind and her arms were held backwards, causing bruising.

The suspects then ran off with her handbag, containing a small quantity of cash.

Four teenage males, aged between 17 and 19 years old, were involved and ran off up Crammavill Street, away from the shops.
