A COUPLE dubbed Bonnie and Clyde after being convicted of conspiracy are set to be sentenced after a fifth member of a criminal gang was convicted.

Luke Wall, 24, of Leicester Road, and Teresa Conners, 23, of Montell House, both in Tilbury, admitted committing burglaries where more than £500,000 of property was stolen from homes across Essex, the rest of East Anglia and Kent along with two others.

On Friday, Robert Butler, 31, of Dagenham, was found guilty at Ipswich Crown Court of the charge after originally pleading not guilty.

Joseph Mallon, 20, of Cambridge and Kyle Shillingford, 27, whose address was given as HMP Chelmsford, admitted the charge alongside Wall and Conners at an earlier hearing.

Wall and Conners were given the Bonnie and Clyde nickname after police released footage of them on the run last year, ramming a police motorcycle on the M11, injuring an officer, and ramming a police car on the M25.

Following their arrest, Wall faced a charge of dangerous driving, which he denied, but the charge was later dropped. All five will be sentenced at a later date.
