AN up-and-coming model is making her UK music debut at the Portobello Live festival this weekend.

Hannah Murrell, who lives in Brentwood, and attends Palmer’s College, Grays, will be singing a selection of her own alternative r’n’b tracks as well as more ambient tunes.

The 17-year old has just been snapped up by modelling agency, Bookings Agency, after doing campaigns including Models of Diversity at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London. She has also performed at clubs in Spain.

Hannah, who writes her own songs, says her main ambition after college is to concentrate on her music career.

She said: “I am looking forward to Portobello Live, as it is my first UK performance, it will be a lot of fun.

“It will also be nice to perform in west London as that is where I am from originally.”

Portobello Live is a new festival on the London circuit, which will run in Notting Hill, on Sunday, May 3, and Monday, May 4, this weekend.

Other acts on the bill of the free festival include Pink Cigar, the Worry Dolls and the Dirty Harrys as well as DJs Phil Asher and Billy Idle.

Tickets for the event, at nine venues near Mode, Acklam Road, London, are £10. Visit www.portobellolive.com
