Man-and-dog team Trevor Rawson and Teddy are to jog over 100 miles on a ten day jog around the borough this July.
The intrepid duo are taking on the challenge as part of the walking extravaganza Thurrock 100, and are challenging others to join in.
They will be flying their own special flag on the 100 mile jogathon in July, designed by local arts organisation Kinetika.
The local health trainer and his dog are taking on the challenge to raise money for carers’ charity CARIADS.
Mayor of Thurrock, Councillor Sue Gray, said: “I wish Trevor and Teddy the best of luck - we don’t expect everyone to be as adventurous as they are! Thurrock 100 is for all ages, abilities.”
Thurrock 100 is a walking and talking festival starting on 9 July 2015 and finishing on 18 July at the Village Beach Festival.
Dates, times and routes for joining the Thurrock 100 walks can be found at www.thurrock100.com
