THE Archbishop of Westminster, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, prayed with seamen and chaplains during a visit to the Port of Tilbury.
As well as paying tribute to volunteers and chaplains at the Centre for Seafarers, he met the crew of the Don Pasquale.
The cardinal gave blessings, adding: “It is a great privilege to stand here, and I want to express my respect for what you do and pay tribute to the hard work of volunteers and chaplains in Tilbury.”
The visit came in the run -up to Sea Sunday on July 12 and was organised by the Apostleship of the Sea.
