Orsett Hall's head chef has scooped a Top Chef award from Essex Life.
Head Chef Robert Pearce was crowned with the title at the Essex Life Fine Food & Drink Awards on Saturday night.
The award is the second Mr Pearce has claimed in only two years after being awarded the title Chef of the Year at the Essex Hospitality & Tourism Awards in 2013.
Mr Peace said: “It is an amazing feeling. I have a good team around me here and we all work very hard creating innovative dishes using new techniques, whilst striving for the highest quality but keeping things simple and using fine quality ingredients.”
A spokesman for Orsett Hall said: "This is a great achievement for Rob as not many Chefs have won both awards and Rob is only 28 years old."
The Orsett Hall has also launched a new Garden Brasserie with new ‘Brasserie’ style menu, where top chef Mr Pearce has promised "exciting dishes as well as recreating traditional recipes with a new twist."
The restaurant, which overlooks the landscaped gardens at the hall, is open for bookings.
