The council will be offering free computer lessons this month as part of a national campaign.
Be Online runs from Monday, 15 until Sunday, 28 February and the borough’s libraries will be having free sessions to help people feel more confident using computers.
The sessions will help people use computers and the internet to find information for work, for home and for life generally.
A council spokesman said: "Discover how to save money, keep healthy, keep safe and keep in touch with friends and family as every Thurrock Council library is a UK Online Centre with free access to the Internet."
The free two-hour sessions can be booked at the following libraries by calling Grays Library on 01375 413976, the Chadwell Information Centre on 01375 842511, and Corringham Library on 01375 678534.
Once people are more confident they could go to Thurrock Council’s website thurrock.gov.uk/libraries and learn more about what is available online.
