St Luke's Hospice is offering its last few free places on a new course for people who are living with or have had cancer.
The new course, called HOPE (Help to Overcome Problems Effectively), will run for six weeks from February 9, 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
It is aimed at building the confidence of people who are living with or have been through treatment for cancer.
Two-and-a-half hour sessions will bring cancer patients together to ‘meet, share, learn and get more out of life.’
Among topics discussed are:
• Managing stress and emotional challenges
• Breathing, relaxation and physical activity
• Motivation and goal setting
• Identifying personal strengths and building confidence for the future
The course will be run by a health professional and someone affected by cancer.
St Luke’s Hospice in partnership with Macmillan Cancer support are offering the course from the Hospice’s satellite Centre :- St. Lukes House, 22 Lampits Hill, Corringham SS17 9AL. Refreshments will be provided.
