AZZ fans can delight in the knowledge that they are in for a real treat if they visit the Thameside Theatre at the end of this month.
Singer Claire Martin OBE and legendary saxophonist and singer Ray Gelato have announced they will be performing at the theatre as part of their Swingin’ Affair national tour.
Accompanied by the Dynamic Dave Newton Trio the pair have joined forces to perform and celebrate the music of the Great American Songbook through specially arranged duets, which include That Old Black Magic, Come Dance With Me and Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off.
Claire said: “Ray and I go back many years, he gave me my first musical break in my late teens! It’s won - derful that we have come full circle to put this show together.
“We are both passionate about this music and share the same love of great songs, which we will be singing and swinging with the world-class pianist Dave Newton.
“Get ready to be entertained!” The show, on Friday, May 27, begins at 7.30pm.
