Tourism students from South Essex College picked up a taste for the Latino life on a recent trip to Spain. The second year students on the Travel and Tourism course flew to Malaga for a week as part of their course. The group of eleven Thurrock campus students practised "essential" Spanish language skills and also took time to drop in on Malaga cathedral, Picasso’s birthplace, Gibraltar, Fuengirola Zoo and the whitewashed village of Mijas renowned for its donkey taxis. Student Destiny Crosdale, 18, from south London, said: “My favourite part of the trip was the delicious seafood we got to try! It was an all-round great educational experience and we were immersed in Spanish culture.”
