Intrepid staff from Tilbury Pioneer Academy are tackling one of London’s most famous buildings this weekend in the ‘Gherkin Challenge 2016.’
The group of four teachers, three support staff and Dan George, Head of School – known as ‘The Purple Pioneers’ - will run or walk up 38 floors to the top of the building on Saturday in order to raise money for the NSPCC.
Their prize will be taking in the magnificent 360 degree views across the capital.
Natasha Oswald, Year 1 teacher at Tilbury Pioneer Academy, said: “We are really looking forward to the challenge and to raise funds for the NSPCC.
"We have been training and hope to complete the task in record time!” To donate to the teachers' JustGiving pages, visit: http://www.theglc-pioneer.org.uk/
