FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze involving "several vehicles" at a car garage in Grays.
Crews were called to the garage, in Rectory Road, at about 5am today.
There are currently five crews at the garage building, which measures 15 metres by ten metres.
Crews have reported there are propane cylinders in close proximity to the garage.
By 6.45am, firefighters reported the cylinders had cooled for an hour and are safe.
Two hose reel jets, one main jet and a ground monitor were used.
Dock Road was closed near the junction with Cement Block Cottages as a result of the emergency effort, but the incident was reported as clear by 8.30am.
