A MAN from Tilbury is to be charged with the murder of an elderly couple after he was extradited from Luxembourg to the UK.
Ali Qazimaj, 42, is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The charges relate to the deaths of Peter Stuart, 75, and his wife Sylvia, 69, who formerly lived in Thurrock before moving to Suffolk.
The couple were reported missing from their home in Weybread on Friday, June 3.
Mr Stuart's body was discovered nearby, and Mrs Stuart remains missing.
Qazimaj was detained on a European Arrest Warrant in Luxembourg on June 16 and was collected by police officers from the Suffolk and Norfolk joint major investigation team and Suffolk extradition officers and brought back to the UK earlier on Thursday.
He has been taken into custody at Martlesham police investigation centre, near Ipswich.
