Firecrews tackled a 10-acre woodland blaze in Grays on Wednesday.
Three firecrews from Grays and Orsett were called to the fire at Wood View, Grays at 11.40am on Wednesday morning and had put out the blaze by 12.40pm.
Crews used two hose reel jets, back pack sprayers and beaters to tackle the blaze.
A spokesman for Essex Fire said the cause of the fire had been recorded as accidental.
