War memorial re-dedicated
AVELEY War memorial was re-dedicated in a special ceremony on Sunday.
The names of second world war heroes from the village and Nicky Mason, killed in Afghanistan last year, have now been added to the refurbished memorial on the High Street.
Aveley councillor John Cowell, who led the campaign to revitalise the memorial, thanked everyone involved, including a number of businesses from the village and surrounding areas, for all their hard work.
