EAST Thurrock United lost their unbeaten home record to an impressive Harrow Borough side as their winless run stretched to five games.
John Coventry’s men were buoyed before the match with the news that Sam Higgins, the club’s all-time record goalscorer had rejoined the club for the third time, but the prolific striker was unable to inspire a home victory.
It started so well for Rocks when they took a first-half lead through Mitchell Gilbey, his first goal of the season.
But they were unable to hold onto the lead, which had seen them keep three clean sheets at home already this year.
First, former Canvey Island man Spencer Bellotti netted an equaliser just after the break and with 70 minutes on the clock Michael Peacock put the visitors in front.
The game was made safe in injury time as Rocks pushed for a second goal, Stephen Butterworth scoring a third.
