JUDOKAS from the Grays Judo-Tessa Sanderson Foundation competed at the Edo Judo Kwai’s ninth memorial tournament in Eltham.
This competition was a first outside of Grays for many of the judokas.
The club, who train at Sockett Heath Baptist church hall every Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm, was well represented at the competition.
The following children came home with medals.
Under eights category: Gabriella Taiwo (three gold medals), Arek Pomianowski (one gold, one bronze medal), Asa Ward (two silver medals), Sophie Pasztor (one silver medal), Jonathan Taiwo (one gold medal), Joshua Coelho (one silver medal).
Over eights category: Boglarka Pasztor (one silver medal), Joshua Mogaji (one silver medal), Hunor Pasztor (one silver medal), Napsugar Pasztor (one bronze medal), Zack Coelho (one bronze medal), Keifer Ige (one bronze medal).
Gabriella Taiwo and Arek Pomianowski were also awarded a trophy each for the best judokas in the under eights girl and boy category.
