MARTIAL ARTS: The Tessa Sanderson Foundation – Grays Judo Club hosted a friendly competition.
Players, aged from five to 14, arrived from local judo clubs with the event conducted by the club’s Olympian head coach, sensei Densign White.
White also brought a surprise guest along with him, Olympic champion javelin thrower Tessa Sanderson who presented the judokas with their medals.
Sanderson said: “I always keep an eye on the club’s activities and the children’s achievements through Densign and the club’s link to the foundation.”
