GRAYS middleweight Tey Lynn-Jones announced his arrival in the UK’s premier boxing league on Saturday night with a dominant points victory against former British title challenger Tommy Marcon.

Making his first appearance on Saturday night in the televised Queensbury Boxing League competition at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex, Lynn-Jones produced a punch-perfect display over four rounds to seal an impressive verdict over the former title challenger Marcon.

It was Lynn-Jones’s first competitive outing since calling time on his successful career in the unpaid ranks, and after sealing the victory, the 21-year-old prospect wasted no time in calling for showdowns with all of the competitions current champions.

Lynn-Jones said, “It was a great experience for me boxing for the first time without the vest and head guard, and I enjoyed every minute of it in there.”

Lynn Jones is likely to feature in the competition’s big night of action taking place on September 5 at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey.
