Tilbury 3-1 Harlow Town

TILBURY won their 11th match in 15 games to move to within three points of the play-offs following a 3-1 victory over Harlow Town.

Gary Henty’s side are on tremendous form in league and cup and are currently the team to beat in the Ryman One North, with their last defeat coming two months ago.

Harlow started this match on top and could have taken an early lead. A header from Junior Dadson beat Clarke Bogard in the home goal but not Jake Pooley who was well placed to clear from on the goal line.

Bogard then kept out the prolific Alex Read with a neat stop, although the Dockers were growing into the game.

Matt Game and Jack Carlile came close, although neither was able to break the deadlock.

It took 34 minutes for the first goal to come, with Danny Glozier netting the goal from the penalty spot. Kurt Smith was pulled down and Glozier buried his fourth spot kick of the season.

Neil Richmond had the ball in the net soon after, only for the offisde flag to halt his celebrations.

Harlow started the second half on top and should have levelled when Fabion Simms broke through but his effort was wildly slashed off target.

But the away side did get the goal they deserved when Dadson's effort was parried by Bogard and former Docker Reid tapped home the loose ball.

But the lead only lasted 60 seconds. Game burst forward and unleashed a fizzer than rocketed into the net and past Niklas Freund, the son of former Tottenham Hotspur star Steffen.

Harlow pressed for a second equaliser but it was the home team that got the next goal. Emiel Aiken streamed forward and played in Smith who drove the ball home.
